How It Works at ExtendingME
Our Process for Living a Longer,
Healthier Life Holistically
Help your patients understand how their genes shape their health and well-being through our cutting-edge polygenic tests. Using advanced genetic analysis, we deliver personalized insights across key areas of health, enabling more targeted and effective care.
Epigenetics is the process by which the DNA methyltransferase (MTase) family of enzymes catalyze the transfer of a methyl group to DNA. When the methyl groups are added to the DNA molecule, it can change the activity of a DNA segment (like a mutation) without changing the sequence inherited from the parents. Although the DNA does not change, MTase disrupts the activity of a DNA segment so it behaves differently, either amplifying positive change or mitigating negative potential.

What Our Test Covers
1. Cognitive Degeneration
This category explores your genetic risk for age-related cognitive decline by evaluating markers linked to memory performance, neuroinflammation, and overall brain health. It helps identify whether you may be predisposed to early cognitive deterioration, allowing for proactive brain support strategies.
2. Longevity
Understand your genetic blueprint for a longer, healthier life. This section examines key markers related to chronic inflammation, antioxidant defenses, cellular repair mechanisms, and telomere maintenance. By evaluating genes involved in immune response, free radical detoxification, and mitochondrial function, we assess how well your body is equipped to support cellular health and graceful aging.
3. Psychological Resilience
This category provides insights into how your genes may influence your mental and emotional well-being. It covers genetic variants related to cognitive clarity and fatigue (often called brain fog), neurotransmitter regulation affecting optimism and mood, and predispositions to stress sensitivity and anxiety. It also evaluates how your body responds to cortisol and environmental stressors—factors that shape your psychological resilience over time.
4. Micronutrient Metabolism
Discover how efficiently your body absorbs and utilizes essential B vitamins. This section looks at genetic variants that impact folate (vitamin B9) absorption, methylation efficiency, and vitamin B12 transport and activation. These insights help personalize nutritional support for optimal metabolic and neurological health.
5. Metabolism and Energy Expenditure
Explore how your genes influence energy regulation and metabolic health. This category assesses genetic factors affecting LDL and HDL cholesterol levels, triglyceride metabolism, and blood glucose control. These markers help identify your predisposition to insulin resistance, cardiovascular risk, and how your body stores and utilizes energy.
6. Food Sensitivity Response
Uncover your body's potential sensitivity to common dietary triggers. This section evaluates genetic variants linked to lactose intolerance and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, helping you make informed decisions about dietary adjustments to support digestive and immune health.
How It Works

1. Order Your Desired Kit
Order, ship, and manage your desired kit all through the Provider Portal.

2. In-Office or At-Home
Sample Collection
Patients take a saliva swab or blood sample with Tasso Device either in your doctor’s office or the comfort of your own home.

3. Return Shipping
Patients easily ship their collected sample to our lab in the self addressed package.

4. Analysis
Once their collection is received, our lab will take approximately 2 weeks to review the results and send our findings back to you, the provider.

5. Review With Your Provider
When our lab analysis is complete, we will inform patients to schedule a review with you or our tele-med service (only applies to comprehensive offerings).

6. Your Journey Begins
After reviewing their reports with them, patients will have a lifelong understanding of their personal health and what options you recommend to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

7. Continued Education
Patients will continue to receive quarterly reports with additional results and education based on initial genetic testing to optimize health, food, sleep, anxiety, exercise, etc.

8. Reset Biomarkers
Continued testing of biomarkers will help patients view their progress.

9. Retest EPI
Retest Epigenetic markers to measure longevity progress.
